Regency Group Holding, the official sponsor of Qatari motorbike racer Rayad al Emadi, has announced that the sportsman will participate in the prestigious Andalucía international motorbike race on 29th August.
Al Emadi had been training for the championship in Spain for the past five months after being handpicked by world champion coach David Garcia to train alongside top racer Tito Rabat.
Rayad Al Emadi said that he is counting down the days until the championship when his hard work will hopefully pay of and he will take one of the top spots in the prestigious race. But it hasn’t been an easy journey for the racer. Al Emadi said: “I’ve been preparing for this race for months and months. I’ve been getting up at 5:30 am every morning to train at the circuit, which is 70km away from where I’ve been staying in Almeria. Training starts at 7 am daily and continues for 3 hours, after which I go to the gym for 2.5 hours to ensure that I’m as fit and healthy as I possibly can be.”
Success in the Andalucia championship will undoubtedly be a great achievement for the Qatari sportsman, but the race is by no means the end of the road for Al Emadi who has aspirations of one day becoming world champion.

Qatari motor racer Rayad Ibrahim Asad Al Emadi has been handpicked by world champion coach David Garcia to train alongside top racer Tito Rabat in Spain.
Al Emadi’s current lap time is pegged at an impressive 1:46.
Garcia says that he is committed to helping Al Emadi to become a world class racer and is personally training him at his Almeria Circuit in Spain - a training hub known for producing some of the greatest racers from around the world.
Garcia says that he chose to train Al Emadi over other European talents as he saw great potential in the Qatari racer and is confident that he can become a world champion.
Al Emadi is the only Qatari racer who qualified to race in the prestigious Campeonato de Andalucía de Motociclismo in Spain this year. Al Emadi aims to qualify for the world championships by 2016, and has aspirations of one day becoming world champion.
His excellent performance on the track has earned him the trust and backing of Regency Group Holding, one of Qatar’s oldest and largest business entities.
Regency Group Holding has provided the racer with a five-year training development program, courtesy of B/Attitude wellness center, to ensure that he reaches his peak during competitions. The program includes a strict fitness, nutrition and relaxation regime aimed at improving the athlete’s strength, endurance and flexibility.
“Sport is particularly important for Regency Group Holding as it’s linked to one’s social development, as highlighted in Qatar National Vision 2030. Sport provides great opportunities to break down barriers and work towards a common goal, regardless of one’s culture.” said RGH Vice President Hassan Ibrahim Al Asmakh.
“We want to use this partnership to inspire more young people to get involved in sports, and to recognize that if they set themselves a goal and work to achieve it, they can reach incredible heights,” added Mr Hassan Al-Asmakh.
Al Emadi’s impressive talent and dedication may help him to achieve his goals but with new opportunities come added pressures. Al Emadi is confident that with even more support and extra sponsorship deals he could perform even better on the track.
